At MySounds Global, I took over a stalled music-streaming app project that had been delayed for five months and successfully brought it to production as the Lead Software Developer. The platform isn’t just another streaming service — it’s a cultural movement celebrating African and global sounds, uplifting independent artists, and providing a space where listeners can deeply engage with music.

My Contributions & Impact

• Revitalized Stalled Project: I revived the development from a paused state to a fully functioning, live product — delivering a critical milestone for the company.

• Infrastructure & Performance Overhaul: I rewrote core parts of the codebase, optimizing the architecture for performance, maintainability, and scalability.

• Team Leadership: Led a small, passionate dev team — setting coding standards, reviewing pull requests, and making sure every technical decision aligned with both the product vision and business goals.

• Streaming Workflow Optimization: I restructured the streaming system, improved user authentication, and revamped the music catalog to support both artists uploading and listeners streaming.

• Analytics & Monitoring: Implemented analytics pipelines and monitoring so we could track user behavior, identify bottlenecks, and make data-driven improvements after launch.
