I built this platform using Next.js as a full-stack framework, with MySQL as the structured data layer, ensuring high performance, scalability, and seamless content delivery.
The site serves a global audience and acts as the central hub for information, events, media, and resources for millions of young people across RCCG.

Key Features Developed

1. Event Management System

A dynamic event engine where the team can create, manage, and publish upcoming programs, conferences, summits, and ministry activities. Events are automatically rendered across the site with SEO-optimized pages.

2. Blog & Content Management System (CMS)

A custom CMS allowing the YAYA Global team to post news, articles, announcements, and leadership messages without external tools. All content integrates cleanly into the MySQL data layer.

3. Media Gallery (Videos & Images)

A media-rich gallery for storing and showcasing ministry highlights, conferences, mission trips, and creative content. Supports video assets and high-resolution images.

4. Resources Management System

A digital library similar to Google Drive where youths can access downloadable materials—workbooks, manuals, guides, conference files, and other important ministry resources.

5. Sermons Hub

A dedicated sermons page for publishing teachings and messages from RCCG pastors worldwide, including support for audio sermons, transcripts, and related resources.

6. International Youth Convention Registration

One of the most critical components. The site serves as the official registration portal for RCCG’s International Youth Convention (IYC) which records at least 50,000+ registrants every year.
The system is built to handle high traffic, ensure efficient data capture, and provide seamless user experience at scale.

My Role & Contributions

• Built the entire architecture with Next.js full-stack capabilities (API Routes, dynamic rendering, server-side logic).

• Designed the MySQL database schema for events, users, blog content, galleries, resources, and sermon data.

• Developed reusable UI components and optimized data fetching for performance.

• Engineered admin-level tools for content management and event handling.

• Ensured mobile-first responsiveness for all user segments.

• Deployed and optimized for speed, security, and global accessibility.

Impact

The RCCG YAYA Global platform now:

• Serves as the primary digital presence for RCCG youth worldwide

• Processes tens of thousands of event registrations yearly
